The Yankees are optioning Anthony Volpe again to the minors, The Put up’s Joel Sherman first reported.
They introduced the transfer shortly after defeating the Orioles 11-3 in The Bronx and as time was winding down on the ballclub to decide on what to do with Volpe as he rehabbed from the offseason surgical procedure to restore a torn labrum in his left shoulder.

He was slated to play his final minor league rehab sport with Double-A Somerset on Sunday, along with his 20-day window closing.
The Yankees, who’ve gained 13 of their final 15 with shortstop Jose Caballero taking part in nicely, would have needed to decide by Tuesday on whether or not to activate the younger infielder or choice him again to the minors.
