Mookie Betts had a three-word message for Los Angeles Dodgers fans after the team beat the New York Yankees, 7-6, on Wednesday night in Game 5 of the World Series to win the championship.
The Dodgers were down 5-0 at Yankee Stadium, but they came back to tie the game with a five-run fifth inning that was aided by some awful defense from the Yankees. The Yankees reclaimed the lead in the sixth, but the Dodgers scored two in the eighth to take the lead for good.
Betts had two RBI in the game, including an RBI sac fly that gave his team its first lead of the game.
After the game, Betts was interviewed by FOX’s Tom Verducci about winning the World Series. He talked about what the Dodgers did to get the win and also had a message for Dodgers fans about the team’s upcoming parade.
“We coming, L.A.,” Betts said.
