DJ Speedsta Reveals His Complex Relationship With Anatii

The revelation came when Speedsta was asked about his relationships with the rappers he gained fame alongside. He mentioned having a good relationship with Cassper Nyovest, Major League DJs, and the late Riky Rick but did not extend the same sentiment to Anatii.

The award-winning hip-hop DJ revealed that Anatii has never been fond of him, and they have never shared a positive rapport. “Shoutout to Major League the relationship is still good, Cassper as well, rest in peace to Riky. Anatii, to you the truth, Anatii has never really liked me,” he said.

“So it’s one of those, he’s always been very weird to me, so it’s one of those… I have no idea. There was a long time where I was like it’s okay I would make an effort you know just you walk up to guys and greet them and it would still be like… you know. So I dont have any problem with him but also when we see each other it’s like what’s up?”

DJ Speedsta disclosed that during the production of “Special Somebody,” there were complications involving Anatii, who reportedly demanded an exorbitant fee for the song’s release. “That’s where the weirdness started because I remember for that song to drop he came with some other funny styles, he wanted cash. The song wasn’t supposed to come out actually.

“First of all, I didn’t have money and he came with some crazy bill, I was like bro where would I find this money? But I managed to find the money, but I remember finding the money and being f*ck this n**g” man,” Speedsta narrated.

Despite not having a good relationship, Speedsta and Anatii have proven to be a formidable force in the South African music industry. Their collaborative efforts have yielded some of the most iconic tracks in recent years.

The two artists have made significant contributions to South African hip-hop with their chart-topping hits, including “Yaya” and “Special Somebody.” These tracks have become anthems in the genre, showcasing their talent and leaving a lasting impact on the music scene.
