The daddy of a golfer killed in a lightning strike over the summer time is suing the New Jersey golf course the place he died.

Scott Mariani and his 28-year-old son Simon have been enjoying in a match in July at Ballyowen Golf Membership in Sussex County when Simon was struck by lightning. He later died within the hospital.

Within the lawsuit, Mariani accused the course of failing to take the protection of golfers into consideration in the course of the match. It claims the course and its supervisors did not implement emergency protocols despite the fact that the climate situations on the day indicated the potential for lightning.

The course didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
