Reports have now confirmed that Juventus’ Federico Chiesa is poised to make a move to a top Premier League side in the 2024 transfer window.
Liverpool are reportedly considering a late move for Juventus star Federico Chiesa in the summer 2024 transfer window amidst interests from other clubs like Barcelona.
The 26-year-old Italian has been seeking a new club this summer, as Juventus has informed him that he is not part of their future plans, and new manager Thiago Motta is reportedly not impressed with him. With the transfer window closing in four days, Liverpool is exploring the possibility of signing Chiesa.
Despite already having several attacking options, Liverpool’s new manager, Arne Slot, is open to bolstering the squad with another winger, especially given Chiesa’s potential availability for a relatively low transfer fee. Chiesa, who currently plays for Juventus, has also represented the Italian national team in various international competitions.
Barcelona is also in discussions with Juventus regarding Chiesa’s transfer before the window closes. The Italian winger is reportedly eager to join Hansi Flick’s side, but Barcelona’s ongoing registration and financial issues could hinder the move.
Chiesa is eager to finalize a transfer away from Juventus as soon as possible. If he remains at the Serie A club for the first half of the season, he risks being left out of Motta’s squad.
