World No. 1 Jannik Sinner improved his nearly spotless 2024 record to 68-6 on Thursday with a straight-sets win over world No. 4 Daniil Medvedev in the final group stage match of the ATP Finals. The Italian achieved the rare feat of winning all three round-robin matches in straight sets to punch his ticket to Saturday’s semifinal.

The run in Turin perfectly encapsulates a dominant year that has seen him register a whopping 15 victories over top-10 players and at least 10 wins over top-5 ranked stars. While he didn’t win majors in 2023, Sinner’s ascension truly began last season when he finished with a 64-15 record and reached the finals at Indian Wells and ATP Finals and the semifinals at Wimbledon, besides winning two ATP 500 and one ATP 1000 titles.

Sinner’s consistent 24-month run has helped him join an exclusive club of tennis greats.
