Mamdani Tapped McKinsey Associate After Axing $9.9 Million McKinsey Contract

Months after scrapping a $9.9 million McKinsey & Co. consulting contract as a part of an effort to rein in metropolis spending, Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Wednesday turned to a veteran McKinsey companion who had labored on that contract to guide New York Metropolis’s prime financial company.

Mamdani appointed Anthony Shorris — a former first deputy mayor below Invoice de Blasio who joined the consulting large after leaving Metropolis Corridor — to go the town’s Financial Growth Company (EDC).
