A person ready to board a flight at John Wayne Airport allegedly breached a restricted door Tuesday night, commandeered an airport tug and drove it throughout the airfield towards the American Airways gates.
The weird episode started at roughly 5:30 p.m., when the person exited via a door main exterior the terminal. He descended a staircase and entered the airport ramp, a safe space utilized by baggage handlers, fueling crews, catering workers and different service autos.
