The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has struck a deal with Dangote Refinery to lift petrol, diesel, and other products directly from its plant in Lagos. The partnership, announced by IPMAN’s National President, Abubakar Garima, is expected to stabilize and reduce fuel prices while ensuring a steady supply across the country. Garima further stated that IPMAN’s decision comes after a meeting with Aliko Dangote’s team. He expressed confidence that this arrangement would support the government’s “renewed hope” agenda by creating jobs and bolstering local refining capacity. Garima also encouraged IPMAN members to rely on Dangote and other Nigerian refineries for white products, a type of refined petroleum, instead of importing. Additionally, the IPMAN chairman emphasized the association’s intention to partner with the government in expanding Nigeria’s Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) infrastructure, aiming to advance energy diversification and support long-term economic benefits for Nigeria.
