The new head coach of the Super Falcons of Nigeria, Justine Madugu, has made key player changes ahead of his first game in charge of the star-studded side.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons are set to play two international friendly matches against Algeria on October 26th and 29th at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos and big changes in terms of the players under the new coach have been confirmed.

Head coach Justine Madugu has announced a 25-player squad for these fixtures, featuring prominent players like captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and several other key talents. Notable selections include Oluwatosin Demehin, who plays in Turkey, Comfort Folorunsho from Edo Queens, Spain-based Gift Monday, as well as a number of Falconets squad members who competed in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia last month.

These games will be the Super Falcons’ first home-friendly matches since the Aisha Buhari Invitational Tournament three years ago. They will serve as crucial preparation as the team continues to build on their recent achievements.

This series of matches also marks the Super Falcons’ first gathering since their participation in the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament in France earlier this year and the departure of former coach Randy Waldrum.

The Algerian squad is scheduled to arrive in Nigeria on Wednesday. Both friendlies have received approval from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and will be officiated by FIFA match officials from Benin Republic.
