Magic forward Paolo Banchero had the best game of his three-year NBA career on Monday night against the Pacers.
The No. 1 pick of the 2022 NBA Draft scored a career-high 50 points in Orlando’s 119-115 win, shooting 16-of-26 from the court while finishing one assist shy of a triple-double, ending the game with 13 rebounds and nine assists.
Banchero scored 37 of his 50 points in the first half as the Magic built a 71-59 halftime lead.
It’s the first 50-point game of the 2024-25 NBA season. Per ESPN’s SportsCenter, Banchero is also the second-youngest player in league history to record 50 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in a game, only trailing Lakers forward LeBron James.
