The Premier League have confirmed the list of nominees for the Player of the Month for August 2024 in an official statement.
With the 2024/2025 club football season commencing in full gear in August 2024, key players for their sides have continued from where they left off in the previous 2023/2024 season. Such players have been recognized once again by the organizers of the Premier League in their latest Player of the Month nominee announcement.

Erling Haaland (Man City)
Haaland has started the season in sensational form, scoring an impressive seven goals in just three matches. This makes him the top scorer in a team’s first three Premier League games of any season. His tally includes back-to-back hat-tricks against Ipswich Town and West Ham United, along with a goal at Chelsea.
Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford)
Mbeumo has netted three goals across his first three matches, contributing to Brentford’s strong start. He opened the scoring in a 2-1 win against Crystal Palace and followed it with a brace in a 3-1 victory over Southampton.
Amadou Onana (Aston Villa)
Onana has made an instant impact for Aston Villa, scoring two goals in his first three matches, equalling his goal tally from last season. Both goals were crucial openers in away wins against West Ham and Leicester City.
Cole Palmer (Chelsea)
The reigning Hublot Young Player of the Season, Palmer, has continued his impressive form. In just two games, he provided three assists (tied for the most in August) and scored a superb lob in Chelsea’s 6-2 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
David Raya (Arsenal)
Raya was instrumental in Arsenal’s strong defensive start, keeping two clean sheets and making nine crucial saves. Notably, he produced key stops in Arsenal’s 2-0 wins over Wolves and Aston Villa, preventing goals at pivotal moments when the score was still 0-0.
Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)
Saka was directly involved in four goals, second only to Haaland in August. He became the first Arsenal player to assist a goal in the club’s first three matches since Thierry Henry in 2004/05, while also scoring in a victory over Wolves.
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
Salah is off to a flying start, contributing to Liverpool’s early success with two goals and one assist in just two matches. He set up the first goal of the Arne Slot era and scored in the same game, a 2-0 win at Ipswich Town. He then added another goal in a 2-0 triumph over Brentford.
Danny Welbeck (Brighton)
Welbeck has been pivotal to Brighton’s unbeaten run, scoring and assisting in their 3-0 victory over Everton and opening the scoring in their 2-1 win against his former club, Manchester United.
