Sam Smith burst onto the music scene in 2014 with their début album, “Within the Lonely Hour.” It was one of many best-selling albums of the last decade and gained Smith three Grammys, for Finest Pop Vocal Album and each File and Music of the 12 months, for “Keep With Me.” Smith’s early hits had been ballads of heartbreak and unrequited love, so their new album marks one thing of a change: it’s an album of affection songs, requited on this case. Many had been written about Smith’s fiancé, the style designer Christian Cowan. Smith talked concerning the writing course of that led to “Hazel Eyes,” which comes out August twenty first, with the New Yorker Radio Hour producer Jeffrey Masters.
