Scoop Makhathini Raves Over Marcus Harvey’s “LERATO” Music Video

Makhathini’s enthusiasm was palpable as he took to social media to express his awe for both the song and its visual presentation. “I was so excited that I seriously could not wait till this morning so I can share this post. Lapho the post does not even involve me.

“Last night I watched the video for the captivating song “LERATO” written and performed by the amazingly talented @iammarcusharvey . My mouth agape from start to finish. At the end of the song, I was filled with so many emotions and had to watch again,” wrote Scoop Makhathini.

Not only did the former Boyz N Buck artist give laurels to Marcus Harvey, but he also praised the former VUZU TV presenter Fred Kayembe for his exceptional work and the creativity he infused into the Lerato music video.

Scoop went on and praise the video for its exceptional shot selection, grading, and camera angles, noting that each element contributed to a compelling narrative that was both emotionally engaging and visually stunning.

I was enamoured by the shot selection. The grading. Camera angles. The narrative of the video and its characters. I then looked to see who directed it and it said “FRED FROM OLD”

“I sent Marcus a message asking him who this “FRED” was and my suspicions were proven right. Remember the young kid who was the editor of Hype Magazine. Remember the somewhat shy presenter who had a stint on VUZU TV? He might have been reserved to speak then but he has found his voice now.

The director of the video is @fred_from_yesterday aka FRED KAYEMBE. Wow! Dude! You are cold as ice with it. Well done. This creativity fascinated me. The execution marvelled me. Please guys, I beg, go to YouTube and go watch “LERATO” video if you haven’t already. Ngoba even this post does not do it justice. Kodwa I am trying.
