A sicko serial cat killer is looking stray cats in Florida — and now police and enraged animal lovers have intensified the search and reward for the beast after his newest kill was caught on digital camera.
Surveillance video captured the horrifying second the person opened fireplace on a cat in a car parking zone close to the Sunshine Flea Market in West Palm Seashore in the midst of the evening.
Sporting a headlamp and using an e-bike, the deviant will be seen getting off his journey, aiming a handgun at a cat, firing and driving off.
The person is believed to have killed no less than a dozen stray cats in Palm Seashore County, officers stated.
The Palm Seashore County Sheriff’s Workplace has been investigating the killings since August, after Animal Care and Management was notified about cats discovered useless from gunshot wounds close to the native flea market.
The cat seen getting shot within the harrowing footage is the lone identified survivor of the rampage and has since been named Zoe.
She is recovering at Furry Buddies Humane in Jupiter after dropping her leg to a bullet.
“Zoe is frightened and in ache,” Jason Gluck, CEO of the rescue group, informed The Put up.
Furry Buddies Humane initially launched the video whereas providing a $5,000 reward.
A supporter who was horrified by the footage donated cash to double the reward to $10,000.
“We’re asking everybody who sees this video to actually have a look at it and share it,” Gluck stated. “The one who acknowledges this particular person might be the one who helps convey them to justice.”
Investigators have used the footage to acquire a picture of the suspect, however he has not been publicly recognized.
