Jah Decko presents Take It Easy, taken from his upcoming debut album Modern Rockers Vol. 2, due in March 2025. The song is a feel good track with a new and fresh sound, retaining at the same time the key elements of the heyday of reggae.
For this project, the former professional football player and Amsterdam-based Surinamese artist has collaborated with his partner Jacques Nagelhout, who’s been in charge of recording and production. Both create modern heavy roots reggae riddims with a singjay style.
After years as a producer, in 2020 Jah Decko released the EP Rastafar-I Way with Ras Mendel, with lyrics in Surinamese. Now he has decided to universalize his message by singing in English and Take It Easy is the first preview of his new solo project.
