Jordan Love surpassed many people’s expectations in 2023 by throwing for 4,159 yards and 32 touchdowns, earning himself a four-year, $220 million contract after his first year as a starting QB. But head coach Matt LaFleur is sick of answering questions about what the Packers seemingly lack: a top tier wide receiver.
“I want to vomit every time I hear ‘No. 1 wide receiver,’” LeFleur said. “That’s something you guys talk about. I think we’ve got a bunch of them.”
Despite finishing the season with the 12th-most passing yards per game last year, not a single Packers WR eclipsed 65 receptions or 800 yards. While Green Bay didn’t add receivers either in free agency or the draft, they do have a returning trio of WR’s that played in at least 15 games last year and averaged more than 11 yards per catch. Game-breaker Christian Watson is also back and healthy once again after playing in just nine games in 2023.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. While it certainly helps to have a dominant target in your receiving corps, the 2023 Kansas City Chiefs proved that it isn’t necessary to win a championship. With that being said, can you name every NFL team’s leader in reception yards in 2023?
Good luck!
