Heading into the Los Angeles Lakers season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night, the big question was when we’d see LeBron James and Bronny James on the floor together. By the end of the game, the question was can anyone stop Anthony Davis? The 31 year old dropped 36 points while hauling in 16 rebounds for his 435th career double-double in the Lakers 110-103 win. Davis also made key plays on defense, blocking three shots in the second half, with two coming in the final frame. After the game, Davis had some high praise for his defense.
“That’s Defensive Player of the Year type stuff,” he said of his blocks before giving the camera “a look,” presumably throwing a barb at four-time DPOY Rudy Gobert.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Anthony Davis has put up at least 25 points and 10 rebounds in a game on 269 occasions. With that being said, can you name every NBA player to average those totals for an entire season multiple times?
Good luck!
