The Los Angeles Lakers 2024 NBA Draft garnered a ton of attention this year, with second round pick Bronny James getting most of the headlines. But with the season underway, its first-round selection Dalton Knecht who’s making an impact on the court. Knecht made his loudest statement of the year on Wednesday night, scoring 22 consecutive points against the Utah Jazz en route to tying a rookie record with nine three-pointers made in a game.
“It seemed like everyone in the gym knew Dalton Knecht was going to shoot the next shot, with the exception of a few people,” Jazz head coach Will Hardy said after the game. “The problem was that those few people were on our team.”
