Six years after their debut Tough and Candy, The Rocksteady Conspiracy are again. The Austrian-Italian classic rocksteady band haven’t come to cheer you up. In Useless, their newest LP launched on Aggrobeat Information, with the vinyl following its digital drop in July, is bruised, unvarnished, and pulls no punches.
The Rocksteady Conspiracy’s lead singer Fabian drives the file with unsettling honesty, shifting by way of bitter realisation, stressed frustration, and simmering fury at a damaged world, earlier than arriving on the gutting unhappiness of Thirsty.
The album’s visitor vocalist, Boss Capone from Dutch outfit The Upsessions, provides his personal weathered looking on Bother and Hazard.
IT’S ABOUT LOVE, SUFFERING AND THE ANALOGUE SOUND
The latter half of In Useless affords a quick flicker of hope on Tonight, earlier than a run-in with Police drags us again to earth. What Can I Do? wrestles with destiny, whereas Miss Reggay closes on a wistful, tender dream.
Sound engineer Florian Widhalm brings every part dwelling with a closing dub observe infused with psychedelic results. It elevates the challenge, bringing it to a euphoric and ecstatic shut.

Because the band put it: “No spiritual clichés are trotted out right here, no patois is mimed, and Babylon isn’t burned down. It’s about love and struggling and the analogue sound with none fuss.”
Their authenticity counts for every part.
