The Rams closed wild-card weekend with an emphatic 27-9 win against the Vikings, setting Los Angeles up for a road trip to the Eagles on Sunday.
Here are our takeaways from the Rams’ first playoff win since their Super Bowl LVI triumph.
Knee-jerk reaction: Rams are a legitimate threat to win the NFC
In 2021, the Rams began their run to the Super Bowl with a dominant 34-11 home win against the Cardinals. Quarterback Matthew Stafford was efficient, going 13-of-17 for 202 yards and two touchdowns. The defense was staunch, scoring a touchdown and holding the Cardinals to 183 total yards.
Los Angeles followed a similar script against the Vikings in a Rams “home” game played in Arizona due to the Southern California wildfires. Stafford was brilliant, and the defense had one of its best games of the season, scoring on a fumble return for a touchdown and recording nine sacks, the most in a playoff game in franchise history.
