This is not the first time Ahmed Musa will make a return to the NPFL. In 2021, he rejoined his boyhood club, Kano Pillars, on a short-term deal. During the 2009/2010 he scored 18 league goals for Kano Pillars, setting what was then a record in the NPFL and earning him the Top Scorer award.

However, It remains to be seen which club will secure the services of Ahmed Musa as he looks to take the league by storm.
