Army continued its undefeated march to begin the 2024 season on Thursday, thoroughly beating Temple, 42-14.

Quarterback Bryson Daily had three rushing touchdowns for the second consecutive week, becoming the first Army player since 2011 to accomplish the feat, according to “SportsCenter”:

Daily is turning into a weekly highlight reel. He had 24 carries for 152 yards against the Owls (1-4, 0-2 in AAC). This season, he leads the Black Knights with 82 carries, 492 yards and eight rushing touchdowns in their first season as an AAC member.

Army (4-0, 3-0 in AAC) has quickly become a formidable team in the conference after spending most of its existence as an independent.

During its 3-0 conference start, Army has outscored its opponents 103-35, an average margin of victory of 22.7 points per game.

On Thursday, it outgained Temple 489-219. It had a 422-yard advantage on the ground, rushing for 417 yards to Temple’s minus-five.

ESPN noted the program is 4-0 for only the third time in the past 30 years.

It had a brief, unsuccessful stint in Conference-USA (1998-2004) when it went 13-67, never winning more than three games in a season.

Army has already surpassed that mark in the American, where it’s one of two unbeatens remaining (Navy).

Per ESPN’s Football Power Index, the Black Knights entered Thursday ranked 75th in FBS. FPI gives Army a 6.5 percent chance to reach the College Football Playoff, the highest in the American.

Its toughest remaining game is on Nov. 23 against No. 16 Notre Dame (3-1).

In Week 6, Army travels to Tulsa (2-2).
