The New York Liberty took Game 1 of the WNBA semifinals, defeating the defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces, 87-77, behind a historic outing from forward Breanna Stewart.

The two-time MVP led the way, becoming only the second player in  WNBA history to record at least 34 points, five rebounds and four assists while shooting .632 percent from the field or better, per Stathead. Stewart joins Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx, who accomplished the feat on Sept. 25 against the Phoenix Mercury.

The Liberty ran their offense through Stewart, who was extremely efficient overall (12-of-19) and from beyond the arc (2-of-4). Meanwhile, she produced most of her offense from the perimeter, showcasing incredible versatility for a player who generally starts at forward or center.
