The Cleveland Browns are breaking out all the stops for their Week 11 game at the New Orleans Saints.

The Browns have elevated wide receiver Kadarius Toney from their practice squad and will have him active for Sunday’s game against the Saints. This will mark Toney’s first NFL action of the season.

Toney was released by the Kansas City Chiefs in late August. The Browns signed him to their practice squad thereafter, but he hasn’t been active for a game until this week.

Toney, 25, was a first-round pick by the New York Giants in 2021 out of Florida. His behavior was a problem, so they traded him to the Chiefs in 2022. Toney scored four touchdowns over 20 regular-season games with the Chiefs.

Toney is best remembered for his performance in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory over the Eagles. Toney caught the go-ahead touchdown and also had a huge punt return in the fourth quarter to set up another K.C. touchdown that game.

The Browns are hoping that Toney will help bring some spark to their offense.
