The track seamlessly blends Montano’s soca roots with Davido’s signature Afrobeats style, adding a fresh twist to Montano’s Carnival anthems. Montano shared his excitement about the project on Instagram, welcoming Davido to the soca scene and expressing how thrilled he was to work with such a global icon.
Davido, a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer, is known for his chart-topping hits like Fall, If, and FEM. Widely regarded as one of Africa’s most influential music stars, he has earned international recognition for his fusion of Afrobeats, pop, and R&B. His contributions to music have garnered numerous awards globally.
Fling It Up is just one of many tracks Machel Montano has released for the 2025 Trinidad Carnival season, and it promises to be a highlight of the festivities.
