Miss Diva, whose real name is Alicia Anderson, is gearing up for Trinidad & Tobago’s Carnival 2025 with her Soca track Meet Me On The Road. Diva, a Montreal-based entertainer with Canadian, Jamaican and Trinidadian roots, aims to make a lasting impression on the Soca and carnival circuits. 

Born in Canada to a Jamaican mother who worked in the music and radio industry, Miss Diva grew up surrounded by Caribbean culture. She spent much of her childhood between Jamaica and Trinidad, where her stepfather lived, nurturing a deep connection to the region’s music and traditions. Reflecting on her upbringing in the Caribbean, she shared, “When I’m in the Caribbean, I feel like it’s where I belong.

Although a celebrated artist in reggae who has collaborated with legends like Luciano and Glen Washington, Miss Diva transitioned into Soca with her 2024 single, Energy Bumper, with grit and attitude.

As an 18-time Queen of the Band winner, Miss Diva is ready to compete in Trinidad’s music scene and is inspired by artists including Patrice Roberts and
Fay-Ann Lyons. She hopes that her competitive drive and performance will resonate with her audience to put a stamp of approval on her detour into Soca.

As she prepares to join the Carnival festivities, Miss Diva hopes that her new single, Meet Me On The Road, will capture the hearts of many while embodying the spirit of the Caribbean.
