Mohamed Salah has addressed questions about his future at Liverpool with just one year left on his contract.

Questions have continued to surround the future of the Egyptian international Mohamed Salah following confirmation of the fact that he has one year left on his contract with Liverpool.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah says he’s focusing on enjoying the final year of his contract before making any decisions about his future.

Salah, who has less than a year left on his current deal, has expressed that he isn’t preoccupied with his contract situation at Liverpool and is concentrating solely on the present season. With his contract expiring at the end of the 2024/25 season, Salah could leave the club on a free transfer.

Starting January 1, he will be able to negotiate with clubs outside of England and even sign a pre-contract agreement. Salah stated, “Let’s just enjoy the last year and we will see,” suggesting that while he may be considering his options, nothing is certain yet.

He told Sky Sports, “Before the season, I thought, ‘I’ve got one year left, let’s just enjoy it and not think about the contract.’ I don’t want to worry about next year or the future, I just want to enjoy this last year [of my contract] and see what happens. The most important thing is to take it one day at a time and be grateful to be here.”

Salah, who has netted 213 goals and provided 90 assists in 351 games for Liverpool, is set to play next on Sunday in an away match against fierce rivals Manchester United. This could be his final appearance at Old Trafford for Liverpool.
