Renowned Nigerian gospel singer and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey, has been invited to minister at the US Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast, scheduled to take place on January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
The event, hosted by Reverend Merrie Turner, will precede the inauguration of President-elect Donald J. Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance.
This non-political, faith-based event aims to provide spiritual support for the incoming government through prayers and worship. The US Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast is a non-partisan tradition held every four years before the official swearing-in of a new administration.
Nathaniel Bassey, known for his soul-stirring worship songs and as the founder of the globally recognized Hallelujah Challenge, has gained international recognition as one of Nigeria’s top gospel ministers. His music combines traditional hymns, jazz-infused songs, and other styles. It has earned him hits like Yahweh Sabaoth, Onise Iyanu, Olowogbogboro and Jesus Iye.
