Players of both the Super Eagles and Falcons of Nigeria players have been shortlisted as EAFC 2025 Team of the Year nominees.

The EAFC 2025 Team of the Year (TOTY) nominees have been unveiled, and fans can now vote for their favourite players in both the men’s and women’s categories. Leading the men’s nominees are standout talents from elite clubs, with Real Madrid boasting the most selections at six, while Manchester City, PSG, Bayer Leverkusen, and Barcelona each have five.

Nigeria saw players, Ademola Lookman, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Rasheedat Ajibade and Asisat Oshoala all receive nominations in the men’s and women’s categories.

In the women’s category, Barcelona star Aitana Bonmatí, a two-time Ballon d’Or winner, headlines a list that includes seven players from her club. Voting is open on the EA Sports FC TOTY website until January 12, 2025, with the final squads determined by a combination of EA and community votes. Players who make the cut will receive special TOTY Player Items in EA SPORTS FC 25.

Among the high-profile men’s nominees are Erling Haaland, Mohamed Salah, Bukayo Saka, and Phil Foden. On the women’s side, notable names include Khadija Shaw, Lauren Hemp, Lauren James, and Mariona.
