The Soca Republic Concert, part of the Radiate Festival Series, a celebration of Black culture and creativity in the UK, is set to feature an incredible lineup of talent, with Bajan soca star Edwin Yearwood and a live band taking centre stage. Known for his captivating voice and his contributions to soca music, Yearwood will join a stellar cast of performers, including DeeVine, K Lee, Scrappy Sinon, Terrah Dan and Merzy, in a showcase of the rich cultural tapestry that defines London’s Windrush Festival.

 Yearwood, a pioneer in the soca genre, is widely celebrated for his exceptional ability to blend infectious rhythms with meaningful lyrics, he has been instrumental in taking soca music to a global audience. Hits like Pump Me Up, Road Jam and Sak Passe have become anthems in Caribbean communities worldwide. Yearwood’s award-winning track All Aboard earned him the prestigious Party Monarch and Road March titles at Barbados’ Crop Over Festival, cementing his reputation as one of the genre’s greatest talents.

Beyond his musical achievements, Yearwood has played a significant role in promoting soca and Caribbean culture on the international stage,he has helped modernise the genre, introducing innovative sounds that appeal to audiences beyond traditional soca fans.

The Radiate Festival Series, which celebrates the vibrant diversity of Black communities in London, will provide the perfect platform for Yearwood’s electrifying performance.
