The Tampa Bay Buccaneers hope they have found their lucky duck.

In the Buccaneers’ 48-14 Week 17 win over the Carolina Panthers, a duck waddled onto the field late in the third quarter. It returned to Raymond James Stadium on Sunday and met Fox analyst/former Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady before their matchup with the New Orleans Saints.

It’s unclear how the Buccaneers found the duck, but it’s apparent they feel it’s a good-luck charm. Against Carolina, the Buccaneers blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown while the duck was on the field.

“That was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen here,” Tampa Bay wide receiver Mike Evans said of the duck, via On3’s Nick Geddes. “That was our good luck duck. I’ve never seen us block a punt and then we scored a touchdown. When that duck was on the field, that was amazing.”

If the Buccaneers beat the Saints and make the playoffs, they should consider keeping the duck on their sideline throughout the postseason.
