Owen Moncrieffe’s, better known as Fantan Mojah’s music is a powerful mix of roots reggae and dancehall, inspired by artists like Burning Spear and Buju Banton. A devoted Rastafarian, his lyrics focus on positivity rather than themes of violence or sex. His debut album, Hail The King (2005), was an instant international success, followed by the highly acclaimed albums Stronger and Rasta Got Soul. It has been over ten years since he last performed at the Melkweg, but now he’s back—with support from Unstoppable Fyah and UG Dias.
