The only word to describe Kyle Larson‘s performance at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday night? Dominant.
Larson decimated the NASCAR Cup Series field, leading 462 of the race’s 500 laps en route to his fifth victory of the 2024 season.
Larson won both Stage 1 and Stage 2 on Saturday evening, accumulating seven more playoff points to add to his already impressive total.
The win also officially locked Larson into the Round of 12 in the NASCAR playoffs. Harrison Burton, Martin Truex Jr., Brad Keselowski and Ty Gibbs all saw their postseason hopes end on Saturday night.
Mechanical issues doomed Burton’s night while speeding penalties bit both Truex Jr. and Gibbs. After a third-place finish at Bristol in March, Keselowski and the No. 6 team struggled to find speed, coming home in 26th.
Chase Elliott, Bubba Wallace, Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell completed the top five, with Ryan Blaney, Ryan Preece, Chase Briscoe, Alex Bowman and Ross Chastain rounding out the top 10.
Other notable finishers in Saturday’s race include Austin Cindric in 13th, Chris Buescher in 14th, Gibbs in 15th, William Byron in 17th, Tyler Reddick in 20th, Truex Jr. in 24th, Kyle Busch in 25th, Joey Logano in 28th, Daniel Suarez in 31st and Burton in 35th.
The first race of the Round of 12 will be held on Sept. 29 at the Kansas Speedway. The Hollywood Casino 400 will go green shortly after 3 p.m. ET, with coverage on USA Network, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
